Molasses is what makes my grandmother's mush - but not just any molasses brand, it must be Grandma's Molasses!! Trust me, I have tried other brands, because who'd of thunk that the brand matters? But, it DOES!!!

I'm delighted that you enjoyed your visit to Family Preserves and hope you will visit again.

Tracy
Tracy L Meyershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09003154807941928311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6106820267829054975.post-15434093329238893412018-02-03T17:29:11.371-08:002018-02-03T17:29:11.371-08:00I’m delighted to see this recipe! I’ve never seen the addition of molasses in the recipe, so that’s interesting to see. We’re from Michigan and my mom also made homemade noodles for all our holidays. After she passed, I took over the noodle-making tradition. Another thing my mom’s family made was buckwheat pancakes. Don’t know if that was a Pennsylvania-Dutch tradition or not, though. Thanks for this hand-written recipe!!Dianenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6106820267829054975.post-42011139605381670982016-06-01T15:42:28.409-07:002016-06-01T15:42:28.409-07:00Ann, thank you so much for visiting Family Preserv...Ann, thank you so much for visiting Family Preserves, glad you enjoyed it. I love the fact that your grandmother put molasses IN the mush instead of just on top. I'll definitely have to try that!
Vera Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04979932693725250068noreply@blogger.com
